Pilgrimage to Bhutan

Total tour days are 16 (14 in Bhutan):

Beginning and ending in Kathmandu

* Optional one week extension in Kathmandu will be arranged if there is interest

(you may opt to fly back directly to Delhi from Par0 for an additional fee)

COST: $4800 (includes round trip airfare to/from Bhutan on Druk Air)

  • Experience the untouched natural beauty of Thimpu
  • Pungtang Dechen Photrang Dzong at Punakha
  • The Dzong at Trongsa, at 463 years old, a symbol of Bhutan’s rich cultural and religious heritage
  • Visit to Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche’s Nunnery
  • Jambay Lhakhang one of the two most ancient temples of Bhutan, built in the 7th century by Songtsen Gampo, the king of Tibet
  • Tamshing Lhakhang, the most important Nyingmapa temple in the country
  • Taktshang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery),Tashichoedzong and many many other historic sites of Bhutan
  • Pending audience with Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche
  • Scheduled time to practice.

    Day 01: Arrival in KTM and transfer to hotel

    Day 02: Depart to Paro, transfer to Thimphu

    Day 03: Thimphu

    Day 04: Thimphu

    Day 05: Thimphu to Punakha

    Day 06: Punakha to Trongsa

    Day 07: Trongsa

    Day 08: Trongsa to Bumthang

    Day 9: Bumthang

    Day 10: Bumthang

    Day 11: Bumthang to Wangdue

    Day 12: Wangdue to Paro

    Day 13: Paro

    Day 14: Paro:Trip to Taktshang

    Day 15: Depart to KTM

    Day 16: Departure Day

    Departure day (Delhi flight is an additional fee)

    * It is recommended to arrive one or two days early

    * Price includes Airport transfer from KTM and 2 nights hotel in Kathmandu (arrival and departure day)

    * Includes airfare to/from Bhutan from Kathmandu on Druk Air and back to KTM or DEL

    * Included in Bhutan: all meals, all transfers and transport, all entry fees, English speaking guide and Class A hotel accommodations


    Not included: Airfare to Nepal from your home country, Nepal tourist visa and meals while in Nepal and offerings and personal purchases in Bhutan.
